2. Scope

These Terms apply to:

• Visitors browsing our Website without creating an account ("Visitors"), and
• Users registering an account to create a professional profile and seek career opportunities ("Members").

For clarity, "Partner(s)" refers to any UK-registered property company commercially partnered with Proper Job Limited. A separate agreement applies to Partners.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Website or register an account. By using our Services, you confirm that:

• You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and
• You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

4. Your Account

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information;
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential;
• Notify us immediately at admin@properjob.io if you believe your account has been compromised.

By creating an account, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use our Website and Services in accordance with these Terms.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Proper Job is not liable for loss or damage resulting from your failure to protect your account credentials.

We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

5. Our Services

Proper Job provides an online platform that connects Members seeking career opportunities with Partners seeking to engage or hire professionals.

• Members can create a profile, showcase skills, and express interest in Partners.
• Partners can access the platform to discover, connect, and manage communication from Members.

We do not guarantee that any employment opportunity, match, or engagement will result from use of the Platform.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Website or Services to:

• Post or share unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or obscene content;
• Infringe upon any intellectual property, privacy, or data protection rights of others;
• Upload viruses, malicious code, or engage in disruptive technical behaviour;
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, or data;
• Use the Platform for any activity that breaches UK or international law.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend access if we reasonably suspect any breach of these rules.

7. Intellectual Property

All content and materials on the Website – including trademarks, logos, text, graphics, software, and designs – are owned by or licensed to Proper Job Limited.

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Members Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

• Proper Job acts as a Data Controller for Members' data and, where applicable, as a Data Processor for Partners' candidate data under the terms of our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
• By using our Services, you acknowledge that certain personal data you choose to share (such as your profile information) may be visible to Partners, in accordance with your account settings and as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Platform Availability and Updates

We aim to keep our Website and Services available and up to date but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

We are not responsible for any unavailability caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as internet failures or third-party outages.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Website without notice, provided it does not materially affect your contractual rights.

We also reserve the right to perform routine maintenance, introduce new features, or update security measures.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Proper Job will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including lost profits or data) arising from your use of our Services;
• We are not responsible for any content uploaded by Members or Partners, or for any reliance placed on such information;
• We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated profiles or career opportunities.

Proper Job acts only as a digital intermediary between Members and Partners and is not a party to any employment or engagement relationship that may arise between them.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you may have as a consumer under applicable UK law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

• You breach these Terms;
• You misuse our Services; or
• We are required by law or regulation to do so.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease, and any data associated with your account will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy and retention periods.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at admin@properjob.io. Upon termination, we will delete or anonymise your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Proper Job does not endorse or accept responsibility for the content, products, or services of third-party websites.
